EcoNab is a field data collection system (a data gathering component of NIISS)
- You use a ''Palm Pilot'' PDA, and your data go directly into an Access database.
- You can do any type of plot (Transect, Modified Whittaker, Peet, etc.) or ''plots'' with no defined shape such as point locations or polygons. We offer downloadable examples.
- EcoNab is tailored for vegetation surveys but you can collect virtually any data.
- EcoNab is FREE to use, in exchange for a copy of your data.
First step: Log In If you are a new user, you can register now (free).
To download files, you must be logged in and have a validated email address. This is so we can advise you of critical updates.
System Requirements:
Palm® OS PDA or device, version 2.0 or later. This can be an ancient Palm III, a modern Treo cellphone, or any model in between.
Microsoft Access 2000 or later.
NOTE: There are serious incompatibles with Windows Vista!
